WASHINGTON – A
federal jury in Miami
convicted South Florida Reception Center (SFRC) Corrections Officers Alexander McQueen, 30, and Steven Dawkins, 30, of
offenses related to the
violation of
civil rights of inmates at SFRC.
McQueen was
convicted of both conspiring to violate the
civil rights of inmates and obstruction of justice, while Dawkins was
convicted of obstruction of justice.
A second
jury was
unable to reach a verdict with regard to co-defendant Guruba Griffin, 31, and
